Aggrojones has a post somwhere on making the filter ones And in the may 2005 issue of MRR there is an article called towering timber. It shows 4 ways to make tall pine trees.

Need Big Pine trees
Posted by ARTHILL on Sunday, July 10, 2005 11:41 AM
I need some big (100foot) Norway or White pine trees for right down front on Matt's Mountain. I have looked at WS and these are not even close. Dowel and Asparagas fern take a long time to make. Dowel and furnace filter is new to me. I need a couple dozen. WS will do for the back ground and up the mountain, but I need something pretty authentic for the front. All suggestions are appreciated, especially if you have really made some.

If you think you have it right, your standards are too low. my photos http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/ARTHILL/ Art
