I have used CA for couplers, but for a loco, screw them in, they take more pressure and jolts could still knock them off, CA is brittle.

You can use CA but I really wouldn't recommend it,better to drill and tap the hole for the supplied screw for a truly permaent mounting.

I'm getting ready to install an MTL 2004 onto my new Spectrum Lt. Mountain's tender. I didn't remember the two tabs holding the Rapido coupler box. I assume they have to be clipped off, or is there a new MTL housing that snaps into them? Also, am I asking for troube if I use CA to mount the MTL coupler instead of drilling for the supplied screw? I have already used CA to hold the housing together and the coupler works freely.
