What is the tallest size for a mountain in n scale and it still be realistic?[8D]

Really depends on what you're trying to model. Almost always we wind up making small representations of mountains because there simply isn't enough space/height in our layouts to model full size mountains that go up thousands of feet. You can make it as high as you have space for and not come close to real mountain height.

What you do need to consider is that as you make it taller, given the same horizontal space on your layout, it gets more vertical. Unless you are modeling rock cuts/sheer faces, there's a reasonable limit to how vertical you can make the mountain and still have it 'look' realistic.
