OT: How is Brawa?

Apologies for an off-topic question, but what's the quality or experience with Brawa locomotoves, etc? My son really like a particular Brawa set that's very similar to what's used for the "trolley" system in San Diego. I don't know much about them, or where to find a good selection (Walthers didn't show any in stock).
