There's a short-line railway based in the Okanagan Valley as well, the Okanagan Valley Railway. They were briefly famous in some railway circles when they operated MLW/Alco engines (M420s). There's one picture here:

OVR is owned by Omnitrax, and their corporate page, unfortunately without photos, is here: http://www.omnitrax.com/okan.shtml
The famous Kettle Valley railway (part of Canadian Pacific) had branches into the Okanagan, and there are lots of books and photos on the Kettle Valley. You might start here, the website of the modern tourist line operating on the historic trackage:

or here:

The local government, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similakameen, runs an extensive trail system based chiefly on abandoned railway beds, there are details and some photos here:

YOu might take a look at Joe's Scenery Clinic. He models a similar area in Oregon.

You can try the following web sites ...
Okanagan County Tourism Council
http://www.okanoganvacations.com
Tourism British Columbia
homepage : http://www.hellobc.com
link directly to their section on the Thompson/Okanagan region ...
http://www.hellobc.com/en-CA/RegionsCities/ThompsonOkanagan.htm?S=HP
If you contact them, they may be able to send you promotional touirsm litterature (including photographs) which is usually free. Or they can direct you to sources who could supply you with the photos you can use.
Hope this helps.
Timothy
The gods must love stupid people; they sure made a lot. The only insanity I suffer from is yours. Some people are so stupid, only surgery can get an idea in their heads.
