[#welcome][#welcome] Chase to a tremendous site. The guys are great and you can ask away. Also check out sunday photo fun, lots of pics there to enjoy and to get new ideas. Also look in the bottom of some peoples names and you will see links to their layout pictures.
I also only built a 4 x 8 circle as a kid. I just returned to the hobby in December 2004. I have learned so much from these guys, and my kids and I are building a bigger layout.
Karl awesome pics. Great former layout and cool new layout. How is the turntable working out on the new layout ?

Hi Dock and welcome to the forum, there are some great and varied layout pics to be seen at www.railimages.com , some of my pics are there also, the link is in my signature below.
My advice to you, although I am new to this too, is to gather as much information and read as much as you can. This forum is a great place to get help and advice, use the search function and be sure to change the date perameters so that the search covers a longer period of time, you should be able to find pretty much everything you need, I know I did. Research is a must in this hobby in my opinion, it saves a whole lot of time and wasted mistakes in the long run.
Have fun and be safe.
Karl.

Hi guys and gals..... I am a very inexperienced model railroader.... I love the hobby though... the only layout i have every built was a 4X8 flat circular track! I made my layout when i was 11 yrs old but had no money and no help, needless to say... it was scrapped.. I am now 20 years old and im starting to get back in to the hobby... I am looking at laying out a full basment ho layout... WOW did i just say that lol.... I really would like to focus on Norfolk S. and CSX and there freight movements accross the carolinas... also i am in an area club.. here at home and trying to learn as much as possible... Apon completion of this layout when i am ooo' say 150 yrs old (im joking) i would like to do realistic freight opperations from different engineer stations on the lay out! I just want to say what i was interested in... AND also If any one has pics of there Layouts to post,..... post them up on here or put up a link I am always interested i seeing whats going on! ( sorry for writing a book)
look forward to hearing from you guys!!!!
