Scott, search the magazine data base on this website for David Barrow or for Cat Mountain and Santa Fe or CT&SF. David's famous Cat Mountain (the former layout) was a west Texas grain hauler. The current layout is based on switching at Lubbock, Texas, which would include a lot of grain service since Lubbock is primarily an agricultural area. You might also see if your public library has the Allen Keller Great Model Railroad video tape series. One of the earlier ones is all about the Cat Mountain & Santa Fe.

I am trying to get track layout ideas that are simular to my community in which is agricultural (northern Indiana flat landscapes). If anyone who has their layout for farming with grain elevators & feedmills with photos, please let me know. I have looked back in past MR issues & couldn't find anything that I wi***o design for my area.
