Another milestone reached
Posted by rrinker on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 7:54 PM
The last piece of flex track was placed tonight, connecting the inner loop. I now have both mainline tracks completed. Next it's on to the sidings and yard. Already had two trains running, in opposite directions, on the 'correct' main. Right-hand running here, so the outer loop runs counter-clockwise and the inner loop runs clockwise.

It is a great feeling to get to the point where you can just watch a train go round the track. Good for you!!

Thanks. Now I just have to get the junk cleaned off and take more pictures. If you go by the construction progress pictures on my web site, you'd think I don't even have ONE loop completed.
At the rate I'm updating the wbe page, the restof the basement will be filled and I'll just have pictures of this first section. [:D]
