Central Belt Line Layout

Back in the 1999 Model Railroader Planning issue, there is a layout by Don Mitchell called the Central Belt Line. It is an H.O. 5X9 walkaround. I like this layout and would like to try it, with a couple of changes. Has anyone built this layout or know where I can get any detailed plans, info, ect.?
If anyone knows Don, or how to get in touch with him, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks all.

MR will forward correspondance to authors. You need to send the letter to MR with a stamped envelope inclosed and they will forward the letter. It is up to the author to decide if he will respond.

For most layouts in
Model Railroader
especially those that have not been built as project layouts but are only layout plan articles, there is no such thing as detailed plans. Generally, if you do not have experience, you need to look at project layouts that HAVE been built, with step-by-step directions, and adapt those to the particular plan you have chosen. It may be helpful to make FULL SIZE templates of track curves and switches (turhouts) to check alinements.
