MRC Tech II Momentum Adjustment?

I dont think you can adjust the momentum, you will need to shove hard on the throttle until your engine shows signs of life and then rapidly throttle back. Once you get moving then increase the throttle at a rate you want until you reach road speed.

Momentum increase is determined by how fast you load or unload the throttle in DC.

I scored an awesome deal on a new-in-box 3000GS throttle and am powering it with a 16.5 Volt, 1.5 Amp AC wall wart. I find that the momentum is really slow. I suspect that it is because I am running a single N scale locomotive (Life-Like GP20) and it simply doesn't draw the sort of current that one or more HO locomotives draw.

Does anyone know if there is an adjustment potentiometer inside this thing? I suspect it's electrically identical to a Tech II 260 except that it has no internal transformer or rectification circuitry.
