Drawing/Painting Backdrops
Posted by FRRYKid on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 1:34 AM

Can anyone suggest either a good book or video on perspective drawing? I am building a large backdrop for my layout. (https://photos.app.goo.gl/qfRJfNxnxSLkRYF4A to see the panels in question) I have never been a great pencil/paper artist. (I am more a computer artist and 3D scenery artist than anything. The hills seen in the pictures are an example.) As usual, any assistance that can be provided would be most welcomed.

Hi there. Dave Frary's book (How to model railroad scenery) has a very good section on painting backgrounds. I see that he also has a YouTube channel. He may have posted something there.
