I too thought the same, especially in today's day where computers, computer parts, sales/service is readily available. Even a personal cell phone should offer some internet connection.
By no means do I wish bad times or bad health to anyone, but like Rich said, it raises concern.
Thanks, Terry

Doughless richhotrain I can't find anywhere on any forum that Wayne has posted anything in 2024. It concerns me because I cannot imagine Wayne without a computer for going on four months. Rich Rich, see Brent's comment just above.

I'm relieved. And ha! Now that I think about it, wasn't it always Wayne that complained that he'd just spent an hour writing a response and loading up images for a post only to have the forum software suddenly toss it all into the outer darkness?
Well, God bless 'im. I hope he gets back in here. I want to ask him to paint my Atlantic.
Returning to model railroading after 40 years and taking unconscionable liberties with the SP&S, Northern Pacific and Great Northern roads in the '40s and '50s.
That is very good to hear, thank you.

I reached out to a mutual friend a while back, Wayne is fine, he is just having computer problems.

Water Level RouteHe stopped posting to both sites about the same time in December. Doesn't seem good.

ATLANTIC CENTRAL richhotrain Looks like Wayne has abandoned the forum. Maybe Bertram's burned down and he is in mourning. Rich I sent Wayne an Email about two weeks ago - no response. And the other forum he spends time on has not seen him as well? I surely hope he is ok? Sheldon

Rich's link, a thread with some old favorites. I'm sure the Dr. Wayne scratch build the stairs and landings, along with some kitbashing. That what he does! With amazing results.
Mike.

Atlas also offered a very similar one. I browsed the net and did not find any other ones commercially available. I suspect either a kitbash or a scratchbuild.

ATLANTIC CENTRALCould be this one.
crossthedog Yeah, thanks guys. That's the one. Any clues appreciated as to who makes that one, if indeed it is a commerical product. I like it a lot. Hope the good doctor is okay. -Matt

Could be this one.
It was commercially made, orignally by Revell, and available for many decades under several brands.
They can still be found unassembled and are very well detailed.

Well, maybe Wayne has better things to do than read stuff on his computer. This thread has a picture of it, I think:
Maybe someone can recognize it. Sorry, the system is not allowing me to make the link clickable, on my computer anyway .
Haven't heard from doc since December 20th.
crossthedog Sorry to spam everyone. Thanks, -Matt

Private messaging isn't working, so I'm broadcasting my question... Doc, you once posted some photos of a crossing-guard's elevated tower, with some brick buildings in the background. It strikes me that the cabin part was maybe green or grey. It was not the Atlas model, which has just a ladder, nor the J.L. Innovative kit, which has one long flight of stairs. Yours had a stairway with a landing halfway down. Was that scratchbuilt or did you buy a kit?
