smallest (safe) radius for curves (newbie question)

Sorry for another simple question, but what's the smallest radius curve would most people recommend for n-scale (kato unitrack) if we're running longer cars (like passenger cars)?

There is a "safe" radius and a "good looking" radius. Most N scale stuff is designed to go around a 9" radius curve so that would be about the minimum. For best visual effect I would suggest 15" or more.
