On Feb 1, Michael Revell (KR Models) sent me their newsletter. "The Shays are due the second quarter of 2024". Since I've been waiting over a year I can wait until June.

I may just go ahead and actually do that. I am not sure what to expect at this point.
swisstrain I did pay the $450, and yes, I am questioning my own sanity at this point in time for doing so.

Just email them and tell them you decided to move on, and request a refund. I did, and they sent it. That was about a year ago, which was a year after the promised date.

swisstrain I have put down $450 two years ago. I sure hope it ships in the near future, and that it is a decent running model.

Did they actually charge the $450? Or did you place a reservation and you'll be charged when it ships?
I've never ordered (and would never order) from a company that charged the full price at pre-order time.
The video shows an engine that seems to run rather rough, like the RTR MDC shays.
I have been waiting just over a year now. A few emails saying trouble with China.

While on the KRM website I got a Full Page Notice that "your Firefox is out of date" "click here". My Firefox is not out of date and I don't know what you will download if you click on that radio button.
My video link is Youtube and should be as safe as Youtube ever is.

Thanks that gave me a Facebook listing to work with. In November they posted a video and said they had a few more things to work out and it would be "soon". It does not run a smoothly as my Bachmann

Expected delivery was nowabouts, but I don't know if it happened.
Returning to model railroading after 40 years and taking unconscionable liberties with the SP&S, Northern Pacific and Great Northern roads in the '40s and '50s.
I did not want to hiijack the other Shay thread. Someone was taking preorders for a newly manufactured Shay months and months ago. It wasn't a company most of us would recognize like Rapido or Athearn.
Has that loco hit the shores? If it has are there any reviews?
