Hello:
I am new here and getting back into model railroading. I have a question on the product Smooth It. I am using it for a roadway throughout the layout. The layout is in N scale and I have determined that the width of the road would be 2 5/8 inches long. How would I determine how many feet 4oz of Smooth It will cover? Or should I just use the tape to cover the length of the road and not worry about doing sections? Just keep making batches and cover as much as possible as I go?
Thanks in advance!
Here is an old thread on Smooth It

Thanks; however; I didn't see the answer to my question. I didn't know if there was a formula (4 oz of Smooth It = 8 inches of roadway X amount wide). I guess I will just experiment and see how far 4 oz gets me.
There wasn't one there. The Instructions say it makes a 28 foot, 2 lane road in HO. I don't know if that means the 2 lane road is 28' wide or they mean that it makes an actual 28 foot road, in HO. It certainly isn't 28 scale feet. Please report back.
