Here are the types of trees in the Bay Area. We might visit similar next year on a family vaca.

In the early years of his Yankees baseball career, Yogi Berra returned home each winter to work as a waiter in a popular St. Louis restaurant. Years later, he supposedly was asked by an interviewer if he'd gone to the restaurant recently, and he said "no, no one goes there anymore because it's too crowded".
San Fancisco and Oakland are both quite famous for the variety of trees in the cities. There are actually "tree tours" that can be had.
I would suggest you check out the website www.sftrees.com for some good information.

Attuvian1 Ah, Yogi Berra. As I recall he ordered a pizza while on the road. When asked if he would like it cut into either eight or twelve pieces he is supposed to have replied, "Eight, please. I couldn't eat twelve."
Rodger That!
Got to 11 on Taco Tuesday a few weeks ago John. Woulda made it to Twelve, but we ran out of Ortega medium, and the slivered onions were getting a bit slim on the platter too...

MisterBeasley The truth seems to be that the quote's originator is unknown, but most sports fans seem to assign it to Yogi Berra.

BigDaddy Being from Belgium the OP wouldn't know Casey Stengel and his wisdom; "No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded" For different reasons, no one goes there anymore.

marctje Like you could see in my topic "what do you think of this plan" i'm making a new layout inspired by Oakland and Jack London Square. My question now is: what sort of trees are standing on Embarcadero West, there not palm trees. thx
