I have another project which those tenders might be useful for a 2-6-0. or two.
I found i had a frame and trucks from a BLI hudson tender and a sheel from an oil tender of rivarossi build. most likely from the cab foeward. it fit this frame well slight over hang solved with .60 angle makes itt look built that way. plus it looks like it was build for this 2-10-4. needs lots of work. yet

SeeYou190The Athearn Genesis USRA tender is also good.
I have two of the Athearn Genesis tenders, one with numbers painted on the sides...
...the other unpainted...
Despite the $49.98 price on the original box, forty bucks, plus shipping, will buy it. I'll add a Kadee coupler on the back-end, too.
I've modified all of mine with fully-modelled open coal bunkers and extensions to increase the fuel capacity...

I am going to second Simon and suggest Bachmann also. The look as good as most brass tenders and have excellent electrical pickup.
The Athearn Genesis USRA tender is also good.

Living the dream.
no road in particular. i was lookin on eBay. mostly small tenders and some odd tender shaped things
Which road? My go-to place for tenders is Bachmann. You can find them on Ebay or on the Bachmann site (under spare parts). Their long-haul tender is mostly oil, but I've seen a few with coal.

I have an I-1 2-10-4 brass. Engine. But no tender. eBay find. Good shape needs cleaning. Anyway. It also needs a tender. So what is a good tender for it that would work ? Fuel/ water Capacity wise.
