Been wondering if I could get the same out of a smaller layout design

A pessimist sees a dark tunnel
An optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel
A realist sees a frieght train
An engineer sees three idiots standing on the tracks stairing blankly in space
Sorry to hear about the strokes...
There is a low acrylic barier cause I am more than knocking cars to the floor, but damage to scenery and such as well.
The sale 1 inch to 1 foot
With the recent strokes, i am a bit more clumsy now.

Very interesting, ambitious layout! Should be fun to operate! Quick question about track location relative to the aisle. Not knowing the scale of the drawing, the track appears very close to the aisle in several locations. Very easy to knock cars off the layout onto the floor (don't ask me how I know). In my experience, the probability of knocking over a car is positively correlated with its value... You're probably better coordinated than me or the grandkids...

Most of this is designed out as the new layout. Sorry the paper is a littler thhin so gjost imges are appearing from what is beneith. Two sections of the existing layout are designed in and Bear did have an influence on this design from his ideas from earlier. Helix two has been eliminated and moved to be nested with helix one. The horseshoes labeled A and B are just thoughts not permanent. depends on how I design that urban area. All I know is I want that route through the urban area as a trench which is common in northast cities. something like the first baldin plant was set up with the reading rr main in a trench right through the plant.
I am looking to start once leaf season is over. I am thinking of putting lift out piecs over the staging. With moving helix 2, I have more storage area for the tall stuff.
