Lower level staging
Posted by santafejeff on Sunday, October 2, 2022 8:16 PM

Good evening, I am thinking of building a modern version of The Nutmeg Line 16x24 ft layout.

The plan calls for a single track three turn helix, however, I have a two track helix already that I will use. Looking at the plan, the helix is in the lower right corner. I am considering leaving everything pretty much the way it is with the addition of a lower level full plan staging underneath coming off the inner helix track. This will wind its way along the peninsula and under the town location on the left and re emerging in the lower left corner to begin its climb up at about 3% to meet at the branch line on the plan at 56-58" elevation.

Anyone have a bit of input as to the possibility of this?

Thanks
