Sticking Stuff Together

How do you:

Attatch foam to plywood--Elmer's okay?

Attatch Bachman EZ track to foam--the little track nails aren't very long.

Use liquid nails for projects & foamboard (interior), make sure it's for FOAMBOARD
the other stuff will eat up the foamboard, it works good for your EZ track as well. Good
luck.

Chip,

Liquid Nails for LATEX will work. As HarveySedgwick mentioned above, make sure it's the LATEX version. you get. No reason to have Hogwart's Castle slowly descend clear through your layout and out through the other side.

A cheaper alternative is a tube of Silicone caulk . (It drys quicker than the LN, too.) Either Elmer's white or yellow glue will work in gluing foam to plywood.

Use wood glue of silicone adhesive caulk for everything. It's quick, readily available, and cheap in large quantities.

Take this for what its worth, since these other guys have much more experience. I have a minimum of 4 inches of foam, so I used 1.5 " straight pins from Walmarts sewing department. I just touch the pin heads with a Sharpie marking pen to get rid of the shine. Seems to hold the track well and I can pull it up easy and reposition it. I wish I had pinned the coak down instead of gluing it down.

My $0.015 (Because that is all its worth :) )

Chip,

Portabill's suggestion is a good one, but I would only use it as a temporary solution. That's what I love about foam. I use the rail spikes holes and rail spikes to hold my track in place. Mine are only about 3/4" so they eventually they loosen up over time. But to test out a new design idea or modifcation before gluing it down more permanently, that's the why to do it.
