I assembled one and even animated it with a tiny motor.
https://melvineperry.blogspot.com/2020/10/october-2-2020-woodland-scenics.htmlI used Harbor Freight Super Glue for assembly and a couple of tiny gears to turn it with a .03" brass rod shaft.It turned out perfect, I chose to leave it natural, as it ages the shine will go away and it should look very real.It took some doings to quite the motor but mounting it on thin foam worked. Some require a lot of fileing and depending on your standards and the kit, are a bit crude. I have built a 1/2 dozen trucks and a number of buildings. ACC is all you need for glue.
I sprayed it with a gray oil based primer. I then used craft acrylics for colors. I used a super glue to assemble it. I have one more to build and the two small structures will be side-by-side near the backdrop. I don't trust butt joints so I wouldn't want them near the front of the layout where clumsy elbows could tear them apart.
Pretty standard for any metal kit.
Glue together with LocTite Gel Control super glue.
Prime with flat black paint.
Brush paint with Vallejo paints.
The Woodland Scenics metal building kits, especially the tack shed and the machine shop, are amazing scuplts with tons of detail. They are great fun to paint.
