A bit of an update , I got the leds and buttons installed and ds64’s reprogrammed to proper numbers .
I used these leds and buttons as well as these led holders , the plastic caps are a bit long but the hold the led in place well enough.
Once I was happy I removed all the lites buttons etc I started finishing off the fascia on the layout in both rooms and primed and painted black satin, three coats did the job.
Happy with the electrical install and finished fascia I decided to do a bit more track work to an industry area, not exactly sure what will be at the end of the line but I’m thinking the Fsm Im Dunn may work there. I added in a section of roadbed and tacked down some flex track from the already in place turnout from the mainline.

hon30critter Hi Lynn, Your attention to detail is absolutely incredible!! I can't imagine how long it will take to take in all of the features of your layout, let alone watching your trains run. Truly inspiring!!! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!! Dave

thanks Dave much appreciated.
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Thanks Wayne and Selector it's a labour of love.
Truly amazing. Congratulations. I can't begin to imagine the number of hours to do all that rock work and the backdrop, and the shrubbery and trees are astounding, too.
wickman Thanks Wayne, I'm hoping to retire soon so I can have more time for the hobby.

ATLANTIC CENTRAL Lynn, very nice work, most impressive. If you can figure out how, could you post a track plan? Sheldon

Trackplan is in the first post .
Lynn, your painted backgrounds are as realistic as the modelled portions of your layout...absolutely fabulous!
Thanks TF it's a never ending adventure.
Good afternoon
Very impressive modeling Lynn. Love the scenery, rock cliffs and the old weathered character of your building structures.

I've been struggling with posting photos, can't remember how I posted the previous photos to show the photo rather than a redirect link to the photo , so, I'm going to try Flickr and see how that works. This is the Fsm Dexters Dead End I've been working on .
Thanks David
Here's a Sierra West Woodcutters Shack to go to a permanent area of the layout.
Lynn.
Absolutely stunning. I love it.
Well done.
David
To the world you are someone. To someone you are the world
I cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought
Here's a Fsm Baileys Produce I built in 2018
Working in the room on the right of the track plan, with the Walthers 90 ' turntable removed I proceeded to paint the backdrop and build some small hills , build the terrain up and plant the trees. I still need to build the 2 stall engine house and the wood coal tower.
This is a kit I just completed , it's a Fsm IM Dunn .
Thankyou Selector, one thing I learned when you have a deep layout is you must finish the very back before moving forward, so once you get moving on it it moves along pretty good.
I can only imagine how many loving, careful, hours went into all of that. At least 1500. Fantastic, and I offer my congratulations.
Thanks guys for the kind comments. I'm happy that I'm able to start posting photos here again. I often run into roadblocks and now can ask for input with pics.
Very impressive modelling, Lynn.
Outstanding workmanship!
