Your Atlas VO-1000 will work just fine on the ME c55 track. I have three of those locos and have had zero issues running them on ME c55 rail. I can't speak for c40, however. Maybe down the road I will use c40 on a siding somewhere, but right now I only have c55 laid down.

Minimum radius depends on the length of the rolling stock you plan on running. Long cars like passenger cars or autoracks won't like sharp curves for example.
I've seen N scale sectional curves a sharp as 9 3/4 inch radius but I'd suggest 11 inch minimum radius.

jersey_engrI'm interested in an Atlas VO-1000 and other newer, quality rolli stock. Will that work with ME code 55 or even code 40 rail?
I have an N Scale layout. I'm not real knowledgeable about code 40, but I know that even using code 80, there were some cheap cars I used that the wheels would have issues. I guess someone else on here is better qualified to tell you if you will have issues using some cars and locomotives on N Scale code 40.
Please keep in touch and let us know how your layout progresses.

I'm no N scaler, but this guy has some really awesome tiny N scale layouts. He has some even smaller thatn 2.5 feet squared, so check those out for specifics.

I'm disabled and my handicap accessible apartment has room for only a small (2.5' square) table top circle or oval. I'm interested in an Atlas VO-1000 and other newer, quality rolli stock. Will that work with ME code 55 or even code 40 rail? Also, what minimum radius can be used? Thanks.
