DPM 4x8 layout from 90s
Posted by Beaner on Thursday, December 31, 2020 8:09 PM

Howdy folks, I've been looking for info on the lunde layout from the 90s, that was made to showcase DPM kits. I have the trackplan, its a 4x8 with crazy elevations and detail, but i just found a page dpm sent me that takes out the tight radius and high incline by crisscrossing tracks, that essentially makes it 2separate loops, but really makes it easier to build and operate. Well, i started the layout in the 90s, but took it down before finishing, we have since moved, 15 years ago, but i still have almost all of the buildings, peco turnouts and i have ordered the stuff needed to get it started again. If anyone has any info on the layout, please let me know, i can post a pic of the trackplan if anyone wants it, along with the few pictures i have of it. Happy New Years, beaner

These pics show how i used a projector to get trackplan onto the 2" 4x8 foam, I did it on 2 sheets, made it easy to cut out the river and bay, which i chose to sink down 3" instead of making that the main level and going up from there. Still waiting on several items to get started.

Im still trying to find pics and info about that particular layout to help when putting retaining walls and bridges in, hard to believe theres not much out there, it is like the micro mini franklin and south manchester ! to me anyways IMG_1005 by Charles Bean, on Flickr
