I use Arizona Rock & Mineral CSX/SP ballast for my gravel roads.  I spread it out about ⅛” thick wet it to a consistency of mud using a 8:1 Water/White Glue mix and use a 1½ putty blade to spread and smooth it.

I just did a search in the archives, and got 251 results.

Can you think of anything else that might help narrow down the search?

Article containing info on building a gravel road.

Greetings,

I recall in the few years seeing an MR article containing info where the guy laid a gravel road using a spatula type of tool and some type of wet sticky sand/rock.  I am unable to find that article.  Does it ring a bell with any of you?  Or does anyone have info on that method?

Thx,

Mark VW
