Ringo58...If I use the open deck, how could I scratch build bridge track from atlas code83 flex track?
Both Central Valley and Micro Engineering offer bridge track, and I believe Walthers carries it, too.
You could make a representation of bridge track by cutting out the connectors between the ties of the Atlas track, then pushing the ties closer together. However, bridge ties are also usually longer and heavier than regular track ties, and there's no provision on the Atlas ties for installing guardrails.You could still install guardrails, using code 70 rail, but it seems to me a better choice to simply buy some bridge track.

How did you do it? I think I need to trim down the ties ( their a little too wide ) and then what did you use for gaurd rails?
I have an old Atlas chord bridge. I wanted bridge track, but there wasn't any in Code 100. So, I made my own with Atlas flex track. It was pretty easy, so later I did the same for the part of my layout that's Code 83.

I just compleated my walthers 90' deck girder bridge and now I'm stumped as to use the balisted deck or the open deck, I already have the open deck on but not glued down. If I use the open deck, how could I scratch build bridge track from atlas code83 flex track?
