Building HO Steel Mini Mill layout
Posted by dragonriversteel on Sunday, June 2, 2019 11:24 AM

Greetings fellow Modelers,

The past two years have been spent scratch building various pieces of heavy equipment for my mill. Aside from that mill structures that aren't kits.

After thirty years patiently waiting for the space. Finally being able to piece together all the components nessasary to pull it off.

My mill is a mini mill feed by a scrap yard with all the fixings. A scratch built hammer mill to break autos, refigerators and steel scrap into mill size chunks. Built the feeder aprone first, slowly building the rest of the machine as we speak. It's a couple of hundred feet, with conveyor belts in all directions.

A scratch built EAF larger than the Walthers kit, Walthers rolling mill, large modern hydraulic forge shop and ingot shop. It hasn't been easy. Then again nothing ever is.

I invite you if you have interest in Steel to follow as my mill starts to take shape. The track is laid and ready for the buildings. Two of which are already placed.

Welcome back Pat, I was wondering where you went.

Got any pictures to share of what you've been working on?

You can have a You Tube link in your post, or make it part of your signature.   Mine is at the bottom of each post I make.
