NEW Hornby Dublo Layout *Work in Progress*

Hi, I am currently in the process of building a NEW Hornby Dublo OO gauge Layout, the Layout will be able to run my Hornby Railway Series models on when I get them converted to the third rail, and a few personal favorites such as a Tri-ang Railways Dock Authority Shunter, the tunnel in the right hand corner is actually from my N gauge Layout, I opened up the tunnel portal and I will be working on the layout more next building session, its looking a little messy/shabby right now, but I intend to clean that up with a dremel and or conver unwanted bits with sculpt a mold not the track though Wink Stick out tongue , the radius of the track is basically 15" or 1st raidus, the track is from the 1950s and 1960s possibly from 1938 or 1939 Hornby Dublo last year celabrated their 80th Anniversary in 2018...

This was originally going to be by winter village that I was going to place my Lemax buildings on which is why you see some things the way they are such as the road withd and the ballast allignment, but I am in the process of changing this to be a summer themed layout... Smile Things will be perfected eventually...

I have the intention of making this into a 1950s setting... Big Smile based probably somewhere in London, although not being from london or england but from the States... 

What does everyone Think? I'm open to suggestions...

P.S. : the original road was going to be gravel, but then I decided to pave over it using a Woodland Senics Road Kit, I have a feeling this is a simmilar practice they use in real life... Wink

Sounds interesting! I guess the place and time would be based on what equipment you have. Britain nationalised their railways after WW2, so in the 1950's equipment would be lettered "BRITISH RAILWAYS". The "British Rail" name didn't come along until later. A nice thing is Britain had more coal than oil then, so ran steam well into the 1960's.
