Anyone try the making the over center springs for manual turnout control?

I did so on my last years switching layout. It worked perfect.

I’ve been doing that since 2015.  Check out this post on my blog.
 
 
I’ve never had single problem with the conversion.  While I don’t use manual control the Peco switch machines work much better than the Atlas #65 under table switch machines.
 
Actually the mod is quite easy.

This is a quick way to convert an atlas turnout to hand switching similar to spring loaded peco turnouts.  Gonna give this a try in the near future!
