I sm in need of help from my Forum freinds yet again. I have run into a conundrum. As a result of certain situations, I was forced to abandon my old layout and build a smaller new one. I did save one section from the old layout and am reusing it on the new one. Originally, that piece had a hill/ridge that ran the full length of the section. (The right hand hill was cut in order to allow for the track to be redone into a new alignment.) Something akin to this: In the move both sections of the hill/ridge were snapped off. I have glued the left hand section back on. However, I haven't decided if I want to reattach the right hand side. This is what it looks like without the right hand section: Any suggestions as to which way looks better would be welcomed.
edit, I misread the question
I am assuming that is a river or creek between mountains and it is going to stay. It looks too vertical to me. I would have hills about 1/2 the height on either side.

Is there a river in the gap between the two old sections of the hill? Will the hill be up against the back wall?
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Perhaps have the hill more gradual?
Does the track underneath the gap in the coardbaod need to get held up with a bridge or something?

There is a river that does run between the sections. It eventually flows into a lake. (It can't be seen very well as I have a lot of stuff sitting in the way.) The hill won't be against the back wall but it is darn close.

There are bridges hiding under the tracks. They just don't show up very well in the picture.
I had thought about putting some trees on the hill at some point if that changes anything.
In that case, I would use both hill sections and scenic the edges by the track as canyon walls.
