IHC carnival rides come to mind. Operating Scherzer rolling lift bridge, now from some European line I believe. I have seen a number of things resourceful modelers have built with small motors to actuate.

Kato makes an automatic crossing gate (http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/381-20650) and an automatic signal (http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/381-20605).

Walthers prices are too high, though. If anyone would know if anything else is available that actually moves, my money would be on George at Wig-Wag, LLC in Albuquerque, NM. Check out http://www.wig-wag-trains.com/index.htm. I'm not advertising for him, but I'm one happy customer.

Brawa makes a ski lift or gondola lift that is motorized. Walthers carries it.
There's also a lift bridge in N scale - Kibri?
