With very great care, even stems, trunks, and branches can be painted.

The lichen was dried for a few days.

Next step to process the lichen according to the recipe published by Frary and Hayden, "All about lichen," Railroad Model Craftsman, Vol. 44(4), September 1975, pp. 34-37.

It's that time of year again when the reindeer lichen are growing into scenery form. Harvested lichen on Cheverie Mountain, Nova Scotia this week and today I can make trees and shrubs for my Blocks Of Kindling (BOK) Subdivision.
