More work completed on my N scale novelty BOK Subdivision today. Also did a breakdown/setup trial. Took the entire BOK, including power pack, and packed it into a small box. Took it to the hobby shop in Halifax and set it up, including running the train. It takes 10 minutes to break down and 10 minutes to set up. Ideal for taking to schools, shows, and other events.

Working on a trestle that will traverse a ravine tonight. The upper part of the bridge is made from brass HO rail that I buy and collect. The prototype for the bridge was discussed in the prototype forum.

A battery pack and series resistor will be embedded on the underside of Block #17. A magnet and LED will be installed inside the house. Tiny spring-loaded contacts and copper foil will be used between the block and house so that when the house is placed on the block's magnet, the electrical connection will be made and the light turns on automatically. Place the house other magnets and it remains dark.

Adding Walton shale to the BOK rail bed. Blocks #1 and 2 in the northwest corner will eventually lead to an extension of the BOK. A culvert will be build on block #2 where the railbed and river meet.

Using natural clay from the beaches of Cheverie, Nova Scotia as the base for the culvert. It will dry light grey and look like concrete.

The dry clay is easy to sand and carve.
