Bob, great work.  I checked a couple of other pics and in one of them you have what is obviously a wood plank crossing.  What did you use?  Balsa stained or painted brown?

All of my wood planking is done using alcohol and ink stains. I use the Wiggins brand I find at Michaels crafts store. The ink is mixed 20 / 80% using 92% alcohol. I don't like using 70% alcohol because it contains 30% water and is prone to warping the wood. Btw, all my wood is basswood.

Have Fun.... Bob.

My little people are kept busy with all the maintenance and other choirs they perform. The water tank and and shed was built from a Fine Scale Miniatures kit, and is situated in the town of Cougar Flat on my Western Pacific layout.
