Nevermind, I see someone asked the same question a couple of years ago for the same reason as I did!

Handlaying a diamond crossing
Posted by Benjamin Maggi on Monday, January 8, 2018 9:04 AM

I have seen many articles over the years describing in pretty good detail the process to scratchbuild a turnout. I have in my collections articles in HO scale and G scale, and have seen others. Can anyone think of a published article for how to build a working (not a scenic/dummy) diamond crossing in any scale?

I would like to build one, probably in G scale, as part of my MMR Merit Badge. I am working on my turnout first which will give me experience in soldering a frog up from scratch. Still, any information on building a working diamond (with four live frogs) in any scale would be helpful.

Thanks.
