I was seching for the same info a few months ago. I went to a few of the larger N scale dealers web pages, ie, Walters, etc. I even searched the manufacturers pages, they were a little better. The only on that was a real help was the Peco...so I bought thier stuff based on quality and robustnes. I have used Atlas and other cheaper turnouts but found then to be fragile and wear out quicly. I guess the best quality I have seen , and has been recomended to me, is Shinohara but I had difficulty finding a reliable supplier. Kato makes good stuff , and costly, but it is all snap together, premade which I find limits creativity. It maked a neet tidy layout.

Anyway, I have settled on Pico as a good comprimise.

Who makes "N" scale turnouts?

I am actually working on a redesign of our club's "N" scale layout's yard and would like to know what are the options available as track selection, turnouts models, etc.

I am already aware of the excellent Peco selection of turnouts but I'd like to know what else is available on the market.I would like to find online catalogs of other makers of this scale trackwork like Micro-Engineering,Shinohara,etc...The only thing I've been able to find so far are price listings without any specifications or illustrations.

The particular turnouts I'd like to find,if available, are Y types or even better,a three-way turnout model,or any particular turnout that would help in maximizing the space we have. Thanks in advance.
