Is there a list of cads and the scales they can use? A list of such would be usefull to everybody. I tealized the cad i have is only for HO. Great if i am working on the Ho layout. But i am currently working on a mining layout in g scale. So i need a cad capable of working in that scale. Or multiple scales so i only need one cad

3rd PlanIt, SCARM, XTrackCAD, and CADRail all support all popular scales as well as (in some cases) anything you put in.

SCARM and XTRAKcad are both free programs. I personally prefer XTRAKcad and find it easier to use.
SCARM has a few features XTRAKcad does not have. One I find particularly useful is "background image". Place an image of a track plan in the workspace, size it, then lay tracks over the image. Makes it possible to copy an existing track plan into SCARM, to determine what track components will work and use as a basis for modifications.
I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
