A friend of mine has the Big Boy and the 130' turntable. It does clear the turntable, but the nose hangs over a little..

Can you simply avoid the need to turn the Big Boy?
.
All my large locomotives just run to and from the staging yards. The largest thing I need to turn is a USRA 2-8-2, and the 90 turntables handle them just fine.
As I purchase better running smaller locomotives I might not need to turn even the Mikados any more. Then I can replace one of those space-eaters with a 70 foot armstrong table.

Living the dream.
Is the 20" length over the couplers? What matters with turntables is the wheelbase. If the distance between the pilot truck and the last exale on the tender is less than 19 3/4" you should be OK. Measure and see. It will be tricky, but doable, I'd bet.

Okay Dokey
My longest steam loco is a h.o. scale big boy which measures out at 20 inches. A walthers 130 foot H.O scale turntable measures out at 19 3/4 inches. My lower level width is 24' wide so I do not have room for wye or offset wye. I thought about buying a 22 inch lazy susan and modifiying it to a turn table...but...how do I turn my locos around without GIANT HAND Action? Any suggestions? Thanks
