I've painted roads using grey latex paint over compound mix; however, i noticed its on the darker side and want them to be a little lighter .. ( LOOKS REALLY NICE) I was thinking of ading another coat and mixing white acrylic paint or just using white calk powder Any other suggestions?
I use light brown powder for that purpose and rub is with a damp sponge into the surface. If it is to much (became to light) a wet sponge removes a lot of the powder easily.

I have found that spraying 90% isopropyl alchohol can lighten up the shade of some paints.
However it is too unpredictable to try out on your road if it already looks nice. If you still have the original paint, try creating a short section of testing section road.
It might also help to put some dullcoat on it after the paint dries, and THEN spritz on the alchohol.
