if your using foam ( pink/blue ) you can dig out under the switch machine and turn it upside down at a slight angle, cover the machine with tape and put grass or dirt flock on top of the tape. made sure the machine works smoothly before covering it.

Atlas makes an underthe table switch machine. # 65 I think it is replaces the other ones and one type fits all.

Atlas used to make an under the table linkage for their switch machines. Don't know if they still do or not. Other under the table linkages would probably work also.
Enjoy

Hello,
I was wondering, If there was a way to convert regular (either left or right) Atlas' switch machines into under_the_table switch machines? I have a box full of these, and I don't want my new layout with those horrible things by the side of my mainline. Any ideas?
