Installation of BD3A Block Occupancy Detector
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 10, 2004 11:52 AM
A 67 year old retiree is looking for help to wire the subject detector that I just bought at a recent train show. I bought it to hook up a pair (one crossing) of N Scale Model Power Railroad Signal No. 8574 and a Model Power Signal # 8571. I would need to know such things as exactly where the single brown wire on the 8574 3 way switch goes, do I just cut off all 4 red wires along with the brown one that are now connected to the 3 way and connect these to the PCB connections "1" thru "4" or "5" on the detector, etc, etc. When I say I need help, I need help. Your assistance will be appreciated.[:)]

this block occupancy circuit is the same circuit as the BD3A circuit...I would study it closely ..you should be able to determine the wiring from this one at: http://www.gatewaynmra.org/detection1.htm it's about half way down the page
