Update....As for the simplicity of the Bachman system, my five year old is able to manage two loco's at once. As for the noise problem as posted in another thread regarding the bachman loco, I agree, it is as loud as a frieght train. Ha Ha Ha
In all seriousness, I run an Atlas Kato on the layout as well that is whisper quiet as compared to the Bachman DCC G.P. 40

For the first time in 30 years, I'M RUNNING TRAINS! My track work is complete! I received my Bachman EZ DCC system yesterday, and my son and I are running trains on my 5X9 ho scale layout. I am using both the DCC loco supplied with the system as well as a DC loco that I had purchased a year ago when I got the idea to build a layout. Thanks to the forum, the members and all the great advice, the layout seems to be working without any problems. There does not seem to be any wiring issues or track trouble. Atlas code 83 flex track looks good, works great, Peco code 83 switches function without fail. All of my wire connections have been soldered, track is hot all the way around, no dead spots. My couplings have been tuned up, no derailments, no problems.
Could not have done it without the forum. Thanks again!

Craig
