Woodland Scenics Shaping paper
Posted by willy6 on Sunday, November 15, 2015 9:37 AM

Has anyone tried the new WS shaping paper? It looked good on their video.

Being old is when you didn't loose it, it's that you just can't remember where you put it.

Hi willy6

It does look good in the videos.

But no I use the old fashioned packing foam news paper and plaster methods.

The packing foam and paper is free as is corn flakes boxes and an 18Kg bag of plaster kept in a lided pastic rubish bin in dry location will last for years and cover an awfully big area of scenery.

I am always dubious of products that suposedly speed things up and look good to.

The two concepts are diametricaly opposed to start with quality takes time.

The problem with scenery is it is the method that works for you is the one that you will use, after that it kind of sticks and that becomes the method of choice.

I still use wooden bench work while others use blue and or pink foam

regards John
