That would be great as I plan on building a new layout! I seen one of Paulus Jas track plans in another forum that I like too build.
Charlie,
I use a small wire wheel in a dremel tool to remove the weathering from Mirco Engineering track ends. Only takes a few seconds.

I used ME turnouts on my N scale layout that I built 4 years ago. I have DCC and they were 'friendly' right out of the box. If you want powered frogs then the provision to wire that way is there. I also have a few Atlas and there wasn't any difference as far as wiring goes.
I liked the ME turnouts but wish I hadn't opted for the weathered ME track which meant I had to soak the turnouts in their weathering solution and then remove it from all contact points which was a laborious process.

Thanks much Randy, that would be great if that have them in DCC right out the box.
The current ones are not. A year ago they announced they were getting the tooling redone for the N scale turnouts and making them DCC friendly out of the box like the current HO ones. Check Wiring for DCC for modifications necessary to make them wired similar to Atlas. They WILL work out of the box if you have no oversize or out of gauge wheels where the back can rub an open point rail. The modifications aren't REQUIRED for DCC, they just make things more reliable.

Question, the n scale trunouts from Miro Engineering are they wired for DCC like Atlas?
