Making Resin Casting
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, November 18, 2004 9:16 PM
Hello,

I would like to know is there any websites that instruct you how to make multiple parts (same pattern) using resin castings? If you have a pattern or small part what steps do you take to make multiple parts?

Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you

Type "resin casting" into Google (without the quotes) and it will take you to all manner of Web sites that provide information or sell products.

Take a look at at www.bragdonent.com, They state one can create molds for casting plastic parts such as structure walls, RR cars and detail parts. I have seen there latex molds and a demo at a train show, its fantastic. Can also be used for making very realistic, ultra lightweight and durable Geodesic Scenery (tm)

However I posted a tread to find if anyone has used this co. product under Geodesic Foam which is a trade mark. Perhaps I should have posted Latex molds ?

Hope this helps....John

Not too long ago there was an article in Model Railroader about making resin castings using the mold and resin mixes available from Micro-Mark.
