What are your favorite methods of cleaning rolling stock wheels.

Change from plastic to metal wheels and you hardly ever need to clean rolling stock as long as you keep your track clean. If metal wheels ever do need cleaning, a brass bristled brush in a Dremel motor tool does the trick. Plastic wheels attract and spread dirt.

I like to put a few drops of cleaning solution on a paper towel or J-cloth, lay this over a piece of track, and roll the dirty wheels through the solution to loosen the gunk and then over the dry towel to take it off. Move the cloth when it gets black streaks on it.

Cacole & BR60103,

You guys nailed it right on the head. Haven't found a better way yet.
