Trix HO mike tender shorts.

I just started running my new trix mike and find that the tender truck(rear) is shorting out on my live frog, shinohara #6 turnouts.It has no problem backing or running foward when approching from the point side or backing through the turnout from the frog side,but will short out running foward through the frog as soon as the rear tender wheels are between the point and running rails.They must be touching both rails.Would you suggest bending the point rails in a little,painting the backs of the wheels with clear lacqur ? or what?
