I have many types but finally got some Preiser for cheap so had nothing to lose. They are far superior to the others but beware, the one trouble with most of the fiquere companys is they are all over in paint quality. I have some very nice WS fiqures and some I e-bayed that were garbage. Seen some garbage Preiser fiqures too and not from their cheap line.

Here's a link to a Canadian company called Little Critters which produces only model birds.

Seagulls are one of the many birds listed.

I think Gerry Leone did an article in a recent MR mag on making birds from solder; slightly pinched and shaped. Should work for seagulls as long as they aren't up front and personal!

How much detail do you need in a seagull. If it is in the foreground, yeas, but if in the background, just throwing some winged spitballs at your back drop should do the trick.

I think these are Musket Miniatures seagulls:

They are metal castings on a sprue, and come unpainted.  The Preiser ones are more detailed and come painted.  The set of water fowl from Preiser does have a lot of nice models in it, particularly the swans and hawks.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Musket Miniatures offers HO scale seagulls among other wild animals.

No image included, I'm afraid.

ETA. Well poo, no direct link to the items in question.
OK - Click on 'Catalog'
then Click on 'Rustic rails'
then Click on 'Wild Animals' - search for HOC3870 (at rest) and HOC3871 (in Flight)

This thread on a different forum

goes into detail onto how to, well, detail the seagulls.

HO seagulls - anyone make them other than Preiser?
Posted by bsteel4065 on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 8:18 AM

Hi

I'm building a harbor and I need seagulls in HO. Preiser make seagulls, pigeons, birds of prey in one pack and one MRR article mentioned Sheepscot Scale but they don't make them anymore. Anyone know of anyone who manufactures segulls?

Thanks!
