Road Numbers

I purchased a new loco and would like to get the road name off. I know
that it been talked about before, but can't remember the best way?

I saw where pine sol and a q-tip were used to remove lettering...haven't tried it ,but is supposed to work...the way i do it is use some model paint remover on a q-tip, after it is removed i purchase the same color paint as the loco and paint over the bare spots...POLY S paints come in all varities of locomotive colors and they match very well....chuck[:D]
