Question?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 9:55 AM
Hello! I was wondering if a 4x8 oval layout will work with a point to point design, but called an oval to point? My layout will be this design. I'm using a DCC system with it also. Probably EasyDCC. Well, got to go now, Thanks for your help!

I need more specifics...what do you mean an oval to point.?.....i could see a point to reversing loop and back to the point but it's either an oval or a point to point...or you could make an oval and have sidings and spurs to the inside and the outside of the oval...my very first layout was on a 4' X 8' sheet of plywood...it had a double main with a crossover and spurs going to the inside of the sheet of plywood...you might want to get the Atlas track planner book and check out the layouts in there to get some good ideas for small railroads...Chuck[:D]
